I spend my days working in technology, my weekends serving my local church, and my evenings reading, reflecting, and creating. The fruit of this is offered here.
My work has appeared in Mockingbird, Reel World Theology, Christ and Pop Culture, Upwrite Magazine, The Calgary Underground Film Festival, Wonder South, and Jamie Treadwell's Markings. I've been a guest on Whatever This Is and Musicale Imperatives, and my work has been featured on Field Notes, Patheos Evangelical, Calvary Grace Church of Calgary, City of Grace Church, and Okotoks Evangelical Free Church.
My influences are Timothy Keller, C. S. Lewis, Francis Schaeffer, James K. A. Smith, James W. Sire, Ansel Adams, Flannery O’Conner, Leif Enger, Annie Dillard, Jeremiah Burroughs, and John Piper, P. G. Wodehouse, Wendall Berry, Bob Dylan, Brett Lott, Wes Anderson, and Michael Chabon.
Online, the example and work of Jeffrey Overstreet, Makoto Fujimura, Malcolm Guite, Clint Humfrey, The Gospel Coalition, Humble Beast, The Bible Project, Josh Garrels, Mike Cosper, Wesley Randolph Eader, and Christ and Pop Culture, inspire me to give my best.
My plan is to pursue a degree in English and a career in speaking, teaching, and writing. Until then I’m restless yet content, redeeming the time and seeking to serve my King in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
